QUALITY OF VENDORS & PRODUCTS
MavoPavo implements an approval process for all vendors and we stand behind the quality of our products. We take pride in choosing vendors that have whom have set the same standards as we do. If you have a comment, question or concern about your purchase, please send us you comment to email@mavopavo.com. We respond to all emails within 24 hours.
ECO-CRITERIA
For all Vendors:
- What makes your products sustainable, renewable or earth friendly?
- Do you implement eco practices on the jobsite, and can you give some examples?
- Where is/are your product manufactured? Please be specific in the entirety of the product (especially if it is partially created in more than one place).
- Do you drop ship items?
- Are the factories that produce your prodcuts LEED certified?
- If not, what efforts are they implementing to reduce their carbon footprint?
- Does your manufacturer offer Fair Trade and Fair Labor practices? How do you know?
- Can you provide information these practices?
- What groups, memberships and/or affiliations do you have?
Fabric Guidelines
- What type of materials are used in your clothing? (Organic, recycled, sustainable...)
- Do you have certifications for organic fibers and information about your dyes? If not can you request these from your Manufacturer?
- Where is your clothing Manufactured?
- If Manufactured out of USA does your Manufacturer offer Fair Trade and/or Fair Labor practices? Can you provide information these practices?
- If your clothing is Manufacturer in the USA where do you purchase your fabric? Do they offer Fair Trade and Fair Labor practices?
Perishable Goods
- Where are your products grown? Tell me about the people that help in this process?
- Who is your supplier?
- How long are they in transit?
- Do you have USDA Organic Certification for your food products?
Plastics and Paper
- Does your product makes use of organic materials that can be re grown, is readily biodegradable, or both?
- How much of your product is biodegradable?
- I much of your product is create using Post Consumer Waste?
- How is your product sustainable?
- How does the factory that manufacturers your product dispose of it's waste?
Cleaning Supplies
- Is your product non-toxic and safe for the environment? Why?
- What is your product made from or what is the active ingredient?
- Are there any special guidelines for use of your product?
Toys
- Are the materials used in your product safe for children? What materials do you use?
- Can you give information about the plastics, wood, paint, fabrics or glues used in your products? Please be detailed in your answer.
- Do you provide age appropriate disclaimers on your toys?
- Do you contact buyers if there is a recall on one of your products or if a disclaimer is required to a product after purchase? We would like to be informed of any of these changes.
